Last night was opening night of the Monster Jam weekend at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento and it was a blast. Families braved the cold rain and standing in longer than normal lines with the growing pains of the new security checks in order to make it through those doors to see real Monsters of Legend. Monster Jam has always been an example of modern mechanics gone wild and driving to the extreme, and last night was no different. With the loud engines roaring and the new events it was definitely a revamped version of the always family friendly event. No longer is it just the big beasts gracing the arena, now the drivers have to perform more mixed driving vehicles ranging from Quads to Monster trucks in size.
This year there was quite a bit more competition with 8 different drivers in multiple events. You could really see the athleticism in the quad races with each driver taking on two laps against the other competitors. With two female drivers this year my daughter Lily had someone to root for that she can also envision herself as which is amazing. I love that Monster Jam also featured the pictures from social media so my little ones could see themselves tagged on the Jumbo Screen. Monster Jam has definitely upgraded itself from a boys club sort of event to one that the entire family can enjoy. What a great night!
With events like Monster Jam there really aren't bad seats in the house so if you are looking to buy tickets and only can find upper level don't fret the show is big and loud enough they are great seats as well. Don't wait to buy tickets at the box office the seats for tonight and tomorrow day show are selling out and you don't want to miss this event!
