I received a 7 day Sample Challenge pack of the Skinny Jane weight loss products in order to try it out and let you know how it worked for me. I used the three products Skinny Blend-Strawberry Shake powder, Skinny Cleanse supplement and Skinny Burn supplement. I will review each of them individually and then I will let you know the results of the challenge.
Skinny Blend- Strawberry flavored shake powder is a light easy to use powder. You can either mix it with ice and fruit to make a smoothie as you would a protein powder or you can mix it solely with milk. I opted for the milk mixture, and it was yummy. It was as good as Strawberry milk from the store and felt more like a treat than a diet drink.
Skinny Cleanse is a very effective cleansing supplement. At two a day as recommended it was far too effective for me, resulting in "bathroom issues". However, by reading other peoples reviews and opinions it seems it may be that my tummy is sensitive. So after day 2 of use I modified my usage to only 1 a day and that worked out for the best for me. After that I had the benefits of regular movement without the fear of uncomfortable side effects. It was good to detox, it left my body feeling better.
Skinny Burn is the supplement intended to help jump start the metabolism from what I read and honestly I can't say whether or not it did, but I did feel like I had added energy. After about day 3 my energy level increased and I felt like I was running a bit warmer, if that makes any sense. I also wasn't feeling very hungry, so that also helped with the weight loss.
Now to the results: After 7 days I lost about 7lbs, some of it was from the cleanse, but I think with the 30 day challenge I could see myself losing closer to 20lbs. But, that is just my personal experience.
Typically, my mom carries a couple of pills with her each day Aleve for the aches and pains, her vitamin and her other medication that she has to take daily. Before having the Sabi Holster pill holder, she would carry around the whole bottle of each in her purse each day. That can if you imagine, pretty space taking and also sometimes she isn't sure if she took her pill or not. That's why putting them in her holster every morning she can be prepared for the day and know if she has taken it or not without question. I like that it can either be clipped onto pants or you can clip it inside her purse so it doesn't flop around.
Overall, compared to the other pill containers I have seen it's equivalent in terms of function. The features that set it apart however are the clip that keeps it in place and the flip top section on the top. It allows you to have something you may need in a hurry easily accessible. My only criticism is that it is a bit difficult to get to slide out of the shell the first 10-15 times. After that it seems to have loosened up a bit and will slide with some force, but zero strain. I recommend this for someone who will be using it for daily vitamins or their gym bag etc, something you need to carry with you and don't want to take more than needed of. This is not for those who carry a ton of pills with them daily, although if you carry less than 10 it probably works.

Starfall by Michael Griffo
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Disclosure: I received a complimentary ecopy of this book in order to review the book. My opinions are 100% my own.
Dominy Robineau leads the charge in the battle between good and evil in the Michael Griffo's Starall (The Darborn Legacy #3). At sixteen her life changed forever when the curse cast on her fathers first born by her enemy Lupa took hold changing her from a sixteen year old girl to a werewolf. Finally, beginning to embrace her inner wolf Dominy learns her inner strength when she is forced to make difficult decisions, the kind of decisions that are far above her years.
I enjoyed this book, not having read the previous Darkborn Legacy books I did feel like there were many references to past struggles in Dominy and her friends lives. That being said the book can stand alone, with small recaps whenever a past event was introduced or referenced Michael Griffo gives a new reader enough to continue on with the story without feeling like a huge chunk is missing. As this is the conclusion of a series, I think the author did a great job of tying up loose ends, and completing the book in a way that people who are highly invested in the series will appreciate. It also has a nice in the future addition at the end that I wish all authors would include. I like many readers get emotionally invested in characters of series especially ones that you get to see grow, so when the final book ends unless all the characters die I want to know what happens to them. I really appreciated his addition I wish all authors would do so.

I read a lot, like a book a day read a lot. That being said I know a thing or two about sci-fi fantasy novels and what makes for a good series. The first book of any series really has to good and rope you as a reader in and get you invested, but can't spend too much time building characters and never get to any action. The foundation set up can make or break a series. The Series Haven has a strong foundation. Unlike other series that once the foundation is build the stories to follow are disjointed, that is not the case with the Haven series, so you pretty much have to read it in order to truly appreciate how fluidly it flows and how strong the foundation is built.

Disclosure: I received this set for free in order to review, no other compensation was received and my opinion is 100% my own.
My mom recently hit the big 5-0, that being said she didn't want a big party. So we threw here a dinner at a restaurant and then head back to our house to enjoy cupcakes and some singing. The set I received from Wholesale Party supplies to review, was perfect for the occasion. With a set for 8 which included plates, cups, napkins, and utensils it was perfect for a family gathering. The design was also very striking, although it is difficult to see in the photos, the plates have a sparkly gloss that really stands out and looks great. My mom's favorite color is purple so it was great finding a Fiftieth birthday party theme set that has purple but is also affordable. At less than 10 bucks for a set of 8 this is a really a great deal.
Not only is this a great deal, but the quality of the set is really good as well. The thickness of the plates is similar to that of plates you would buy at a chain store, with a theme but at a reduced cost, plus you get a great table cloth that matches your theme with the set. If your planning a party be it a milestone birthday or a character theme that is difficult to find, Wholesale Party Supplies will have what you need and far cheaper than other places.
Attack the Geek by Michael R. Underwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Disclosure: I got this book for free from Netgalley to review.
A seemingly normal Saturday at Grognard's Grog, turns into an epic adventure and battle for Ree Reyes the barista/first hand to the owner. Channeling the inner Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ree Reyes and cohorts with the help of a little Geekomancy take on all that they face with flare and a whole lot of action.
Attack of the Geek reminded me of an episode of one of my beloved Sci-fi shows, from the minimal backstory to the dun dun dun to be continued kind of ending, it left me wanting more. Any self proclaimed fanboy/girl would be enthralled with all the "geek" reference as well as the whole world at which they live. The idea that you could channel the powers from the things you watch, read, play or dress up as is pretty much a dream for most cos-players. This book had so mnay references that I had to get my google on, but for the more advanced Geeks it will tickle you pink! I recommend this book for anyone who likes to read series, because once you start I doubt you will want the book to end. Plus, it feels like it's set up for the next one or for Joss Wheaton to come and make it to a series...No seriously he should I would even watch it live.

When it comes to phones, my dad always has his on him in his right hand pocket to be exact. When he recently upgraded phones from the stoneage flip phone he had to an Iphone5 I knew it would be an adjustment. The size of an Iphone5 albeit smaller than many of the Android offering it's still large compared to the prehistoric flip thingy my dad used, so now the Iphone seems bulky and when he sits he takes it out and sets it down. Since, like many retirees he also likes to do the casino, this can be dangerous. People like to steal things, especially nice things so when given the opportunity to review the Blacksmith-Labs Bruno Premium Leather Holster for Iphone5, I thought of him.
Blacksmith-Labs Bruno is truly a premium product, it comes in a nicely giftwrapable package and its high quality leather. The backing is a gold finished clip that is extremely sturdy and hooks to the belt. The Clip is designed to anchor to the belt so that one it doesn't slip, but also so it would not be easily removed by a jostle or sticky fingers. My dad, like many men always wears a belt, and when the holster is anchored on his belt it provides sits along his hip, keeping his phone from jabbing him in the thigh as it does when he has it in his pocket.
I definitely recommend this for the person who wants a very nice leather phone case for their Iphone 5/5S. If you want to grab one for someone you know or for yourself head over to Amazon. It really is a very nice, premium product and will last long after the phone gives out on you.
John Dreamer by Elise Celine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Disclosure: I received this book free from Netgalley to review, no other compensation was received.
From the white room the characters of John Dreamer are set to become the people they are suppose to be, but it takes facing whatever holds them back. Andy the main character of the book is struggling both with the internal struggle she is destined to face as well as the aching feeling that she has seen the boy with the unforgettable green eyes before. Andy along with 5 others sit in the white room when a mysterious flamboyant character of a man calling himself the Guardian arrives with a cryptic nature.
I love the characters, each one struggles with a very realistic issue, one that unless overcome would hold them back. The concept behind loving someone in your dreams or dreaming of your future love is very unique and cool. This was a book I didn't want to put down. I am eager for Elise to continue on with the story as it left me as the reader biting at the proverbial bit in anticipation. I want to continue after the dream with John and Andy. I want the love story to end happily, as a reader.

As many of you know, I am kinda into saving money. Okay, so I am crazy into saving money at least via coupons. So when given the opportunity to read a way to get out of DEBT, you know the four letter word everyone dreads, I thought sure maybe there is a trick. Well, if there is you won't find it in this book, however you will find out a lot about what is good and bad debt what you can do to mitigate negative marks on your credit.
Debt Solutions That Work: Your Guide to Get out of Debt and Stay out of Debt for Good by Stephen Howe
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
For someone looking to learn the basics about money and debt this could be a great introduction book. That however is not the case for my personal situation, that being said the writing is concise and eloquent, the information is factual and there is no gimmicks. The author pretty much lays out the basics of how debt is accumulated, what is good and what is bad debt as well as a few examples of how to mitigate it. For a 28 page book, it is crammed to the top with facts, and uses language that anyone will be able to follow even without an advanced degree in economics. I would recommend this book for someone young who is looking to understand the fundamentals of debt and credit, but not someone who is looking to repair damaged credit.

Disclosure: I received these three products from Zim’s® in order to review them, no other compensation was received and the opinions are 100% my own.
As many of you know I have recently been training for a 5k race, that being said along with training comes sore muscles, so when given the opportunity to try out Zim’s® Arnica Max Freeze I thought sure thing. Zim's Arnica Max is designed specfically for sore muscles, sprains, arthritis and bruises. The first thing I noticed about the product after application was that it felt like a traditional lotion. I didn't leave my skin greasy and had a very faint smell that didn't give off the pungent odor of other creams with the same purpose. However, what matters is that after about 15 minutes I no longer noticed the soreness I was having. So, it's my opinion that Zim's Arnica Max is an effective product at least for pain from working out.
Another product Zim's sent me to try was the Zim's Advanced Crack Creme. One of the key features I noticed with it is that it's organic and contains both Aloe and Hydrocortizone. My daughter has a rash from her thighs rubbing when she wears short shorts or skirts. She still has that baby fat at four so I like to put a cream on it when they chafe a little. I put on the Crack Creme and it seemed to heal up well. The main thing I noticed was the lack of reaction in her, many types of cortizone creams have a bit of a sting to them this one however didn't which is great. It allows me to put it on without her fighting me. Another win in my book.
The final product they sent me to review was the Zim's Advanced Gel with Acemannan which is designed to help treat cuts, scrapes and abrasions. This gel although I accidently put it on an irritated rash and it burned like the dickens within about a day the rash was gone,so it seemed to work. When I put it on a scrape there was a minor sting, but nothing too bad.
If you want to try out the Zim's products they offer some great 2.00 off coupons right now or enter to win them below!
