So yeah that definitely is not a Moscow Mule... although I guess technically I guess if there was a mule living in Moscow I guess it may look like that? Oh well, back to the true subject at hand, the Moscow Mule is a cocktail that is best and traditionally served in a copper mug. So when I looked up the traditional recipe I thought hmm... ginger beer, vodka, ice and lime yeah I will try that. I am a bartender on the weekends and an overall fan of beers and ginger. I had until this moment never tried a ginger beer, but why not right, I have one of these nifty copper mugs coming for review let's see how it goes. And I have to say for my first attempt I nailed it...
First time I heard the term Moscow mule I seriously went here:
Obviously, the professional photo knocks the socks off of mine however I bet mine was just as tasty! I love the mug it makes the drink look super classy. I am typically a beer drinker so when making a switch to a Moscow Mule it was a bit of a switch. Ginger beer plus vodka and a lime squeeze isn't my norm but I can say overall it is quite tasty. I felt like the mug totally made the drink though. The shiny copper outside with the indentations give a shine whenever the light hits it. The weight of the mug was enough to feel solid without bending to my strong hands and yet thin enough not to weigh my hand down too much. The quality was definitely there in the craftsmanship without any weird edges or lines visible. Overall a definitely nice quality mug. Will I be partaking in another Moscow Mule drink anytime soon... probably not, but I think a regular beer would taste mighty fine in it as well.
