Disclosure: I received these books free in order to consider them for my gift guide.

Did you know that there are statistics that say that up to 20% of all children say that have been bullied. I have a total of 4 nieces and nephews and two children so that is saying at least one of them will likely be bullied. Having experienced minor bullying in my own youth I can attest that it isn't a pleasant thing and can really hurt your feelings leaving a lasting effect. That being said it isn't easy to explain to my children what really constitutes bullying. So any additional tool in teaching kids against being a bully or being bullied is gold.

I was given two of The Principle Gang series  by Dr. Dan & Bli Dugi in order to evaluate the for the quality of books as well as the interest they sparked in my children. I will first attest to my personal opinion of the two books overall they are quite beautiful with vibrant colors in both the pictures as well as the fonts used. As a reader they really catch the eye giving a feast for those more visual learners. With Luke and Lily being under 6 it's important that they are visually stimulated. The overall stories are both cute and informative.

Out of the two we were given the opportunity to read The Principle Gang book 1 Don't Judge a Lizard by his Scales is our family favorite. That doesn't mean however we aren't fans of book two Wizard Lizard Rides the Subway, we just sort of relate more to the first one being that there is no subway anywhere we live. Overall I would recommend these as great gifts for any child that you may fear may be bullied or a bully. Or for any child heading into school.
