This giveaway was brought to you by Youcopia, all opinions on the products however are my own.
For many mom's out there like myself the biggest gift someone can give us for Christmas is a bit of time. Since, time is definitely at a premium and it can't really be gifted then offering up something that will help to save time cleaning or finding the things that we use day to day. Youcopia offers up a wide select of time saving gifts all of which are designed to organize your kitchen. For many people they may think giving someone kitchen organization items as gifts is kinda weird, but for those of us who are a little bit OCD this really will give us an odd sense of peace. I received 3 items to test out the wide variety of products offered by Youcopia the StoreMore Adjustable lid holder, StoreStack food container storage organizer, and spice steps.
First item I opened to get myself organized was the StoreMore Adjustable lid holder. The StoreMore Adjustable lid holder is exactly what you would think its an adjustable rack that you put in one of your cupboards or cabinets to give order to the piles of lids of various sizes from various pans. I love to look into a cupboard and see it so nicely organized. This is a mini high of happiness when I see it all nice. After the rush of getting my pot lids in order I moved quickly into setting up my new spice shelf.
The YouCopia Spice steps is designed to target another horribly disorganized place in my kitchen. The spice steps
The final one is really my favorite. It will definitely save me the most time and is really a cost savings gift as it finally gives me a real location to keep track of those darn food storage lids with their container. The YouCopia StoreStack stores all those plastic food storage containers with their lids and can be adjusted to variable size of drawer or cabinet as well as can be used with variable sized containers. All of which will finally have a place and hopefully will end up reducing wasted time trying to find a lid when putting dinner away. Overall I all three very much and I look forward to getting to know more products and getting more use out of these three.
Want a chance to win these products yourself? This giveaway is open to US Residents only and the prize is valued at 40$. The giveaway ends Dec. 21st and YouCopia is responsible for shipment of the prize! Good Luck!!!
Disclosure: I received the Stompeez in exchange for potential inclusion in my Holiday Gift Guide 2016 if I felt it qualified as a great Holiday Gift idea.
If you have a kid under 10 you have probably have heard about Stompeez they along with several other products have found their way onto every kids Christmas list this year. And the Santa list in our house is no different. In case you are a Netflix household or don't live with the perpetually running background noise of children's cartoon networks let me explain what a Stompeez are. Stompeez are slippers that move and come in all the popular kids friendly themes.
I included Stompeez in my Holiday Gift guide for 2016 because they fall well within a 20$ budget amount. They are extremely kid friendly as they literally offer the hottest themes right now. From Batman to Shopkins they cover quite a diverse range of kid interests. We received the batman for review with movable capes which is ideal for our son's Ethan and Luke. They are huge fans. As a matter of fact our son Ethan was Batman for this years halloween. He is the one we intend on gifting them to match the new pajamas and robe he is also getting. To test out function we utilized his older sister Lily to test them out. Luckily for us she has small feet for her age and Ethan is on the bigger size. So we suspect the size Small will be a good fit for him. She loved them and asked which ones she is going to get hinting that the "Tsum Tsum" ones would be awesome.
I wasn't sure what the "Tsum Tsum" are so I had to do some googling, guess they are tiny faced Disney characters and are really cute. Those ones are exclusive to the Stompeez site however, so if that is one you want to pick up for the kiddos you may need to head over to Stompeez.com. Below you can see the Batman ones in action.
If you are looking for a great gift idea this is definitely one. They were exactly what I expected and flapped when she walked around in them. Ethan is going to love having them in his stocking this year and I love that I can get Lily and Luke some too without breaking the bank.
As a Precious Moments Ambassador, I received the Precious Moment's "O Come, All Ye Faithful" Ornament to review and include in my Holiday gift guide.
We have a Holiday gift tradition in my family that my grandma Deanna started when I was born. My grandma would gift me a new ornament every year from the year I was born until I was 18. She told us the reason she wanted me to have a tree full of ornaments when we moved out on our own. Each ornament was unique and had the year on it. I think I am going to start that tradition with my kids as well. I may be a few years behind, but I think they won't mind. Plus now that I own a home I can get them hope chests and we won't end up losing them.
Being a Precious Moments Ambassador I was fortunate enough to get the 7th Annual Snowman hanging ornament "O Come All Ye Faithful". This doe eyed sparkly ornament as featured in the photos above is the perfect addition to any tree and I hope it survives many years to come. It's a heavy duty glass ornament that is a great addition to any tree. Precious Moments ornaments, figurines and other glass items are all uniquely designed with signature
I received several Kohl's Care's items to include in my gift guide in order to share it with you my readers. I included them into the Holiday Gift Guide for 2016 because of all the good work the Kohl's Cares program is doing with it's hospital partners.
As a gift giver it's always nice to feel like you are spending your money in a way that can help the greater good as well as put a smile on the person receiving the gifts face. Items purchase from the Kohl's Cares merchandise line features several very well known classic stories that many of you will remember from your childhood. Amongst those featured currently and available for purchase at your local Kohl's are Paddington, Madeline, Curious George and Corduroy. All four of these classics were favorites of mine growing up and I know I personally hope to share that love with my children.
The Kohl's Cares merchandise is sold with 100% of the net profit going to programs set up by hospitals for things like car seat safety checks, bike helmet giveaways, dental care and injury prevention programs. All of them geared toward helping children grow up healthy and happy. Which is exactly the kind of cause I can get around. As a mother of three kids 7 and under my real only goal in life is that they continue to grow be healthy and happy. If I can help promote this I will happily do so.
Now that I have told you about the cause let me also tell you how the products can help you to gift with a budget in mind. These high quality items above are found in store and online at the prime price of 5.00$. Yes, I said 5 bucks! I mean seriously how more budget friendly could they get while still being able to donate to the great cause above? Of course you are probably thinking at that price they must be cheaply made or not "gift" worthly well let me tell you below how I feel about them.
I received Curious George hardbound book as well as stuffed George to share with you the quality and about the Kohl's cares program. I first of all need to tell you the George is incredibly soft and seemingly well made. Although these are rather inexpensive costing only 5$ each in store or online with the proceeds going to charity, they did not construct these to feel inexpensive. For that price I would expect the quality of a carnival prize at most however they far exceed that. The hardbound books themselves are of greater value themselves and will hold up well to the rough and tumble life as a childhood book.
What I never knew until recently however is that Kohl's cares also features holiday specific items include a recipe book geared toward baking with children with over 100 recipes, a holiday cd and a couple of unique coloring options. There really is something for quite a few people on your list and if you are looking to do good as well as provide your family with good quality gifts this could prove to be a great option! Don't just take my word for it head over to either Kohls.com or your local Kohls to see for yourself. You won't be disappointed and neither will your pocketbook.
Disclosure: I received a Get it hoops package in exchange for my honest opinion and to host a giveaway for you my readers.
I love this as a generic gift for the nephew or cousin whom you don't see that often, it's extremely cost effective at right under 20$ and perfect because it isn't very likely that they will have an over the door closet basketball hoop. And even if they do they won't have this one. The Get it Hoops is quite a unique find with it's app integration, score keeping and fully complete package. From the moment you open the box you have everything you need to get going it doesn't require you to provide your own ball or pump or figure out a way to clip it onto the door.
When it comes this gift giving season it's hard to know what to get each person especially when you aren't as close to some family or friends as you would like, but like you I sometimes feel obligated to get them gifts for the holidays. This obligation can be at times stressful and costly, but I know I personally don't want to take the risk of offending anyone. That being said this isn't just a generic gift, it's also a ton of fun. I look forward to playing with my son as I am getting ready to put him to bed. This could also serve as a spectacular gift for any teenager looking to get some practice in off the court.
Overall I think this is actually a great item and a great option for those shopping this holiday season. Check it out at www.getithoops.com and enter to win one below!
Disclosure: I received this cutting board for review, however because I liked it so much I chose to include it in my Holiday Gift Guide.
We are a typically plastic cutting board house as I like to run them through a super hot sterilization in my dishwasher. However it tends to melt them or to warp them and they are quickly replaced. They also offer absolutely no visual value to my kitchen. So when I was given the Kitchen Rules tempered glass cutting board to review I found it to be a beautiful and sanitary alternative.
The Moni's Cozy Kitchen, Kitchen Rules tempered glass cutting board at 16"x18" is absolutely gorgeous with a large list of sayings that really seem to click with me as a mother. Everything from Kiss the cook to Talk about your day and Say please and thank you. All these little sentences help to remind me and the rest of the family to take the time to notice the little things.
When I decide what to include in my gift guide I have three main criteria value, quality and gift-ability. This one hit 3 points for me the value at 35.00 you are getting both a decoration for your kitchen and a highly functional cutting board. For quality, from the packaging it arrived in to the wonderful quality of the shatter-resistant non-porous heat and cold resistant glass. The final criteria is gift-ability, and this is definitely the kinda of gift I would personally love to receive.
Overall this is a very wonderful cutting board and I am very happy to share the following promo codes with you.
15% off with code FBCODE01 exp 12/30
Disclosure: I was sent a Magic Sketch to review and give my honest opinion no compensation was received.
As for the So I got the opportunity to play with the Magic Sketch today while the kids were at school. And after testing it out I think this is a perfect fit to my Holiday Gift guide. Why you ask? In order to make it on my Holiday Gift guide an item has to be something that is worth the money, of high quality and something that will be enjoyed by the person it's intended.
I want to first give you a description of the Magic Sketch. The Magic Sketch is a rainbow colored liquid crystal sketch pad about the size of a kindle or a little bigger than a typical paperback book. And it's thin, so thin and light that it will be a great travel companion that can go in any diaperbag or backpack. The screen is rainbow colored so with every sketch you get a unique arrangement of colors. The see through liquid crystal screen allows your kid to trace through it without the mess of an ink pen.
For the first point is it worth the money? Yes, at 29.95 it's well within the proper price point for it's quality and it's definitely offers more so than it's comparable item. The only item I could compare this one to would be a traditional magnetic sketch pad which range from about 10-20$ depending on size. This being a liquid crystal screen that clears off so easily is definitely worth the slightly higher cost.
As for the quality I think this is a great item just from my time playing with it on the sly I know my daughter and son are literally going to fight over it. However, luckily for me at 29.95 I can afford to make sure each one has one under the tree and with aide of a label-maker to ensure each one is labelled I can at least attempt to prevent a fight or two.
And finally for the enjoyment by the person the gift is intended for my kids are artistic, they will spend hours drawing or coloring every day. That being said we have gone through a ton of paper in the progress, so when given the opportunity to try out a new coloring tablet. The Magic Sketch with it's liquid crystal screen allows for the kids to color to their hearts content and erase with the touch of a button.
My overall opinion on the Magic Sketch is it's a great addition to any kids art/toy arsenal and will be a happy travel companion for as long as we can foresee.
