I took the 72 hour GungHo challenge to see if it could help when I was tired without the jitters and crashes that coffee and sodas can cause. From my personal experience I didn't feel any jitters, I wasn't a huge fan of the flavor, but I don't like many flavors. It was a citrus'y kind of flavor which wasn't overtly strong, but just not my cup of tea. However, I don't really care what it tastes like when you shoot it and it gives you energy.
Disclosure: I received this book free in order to review, no other compensation was received an all opinions are 100% my own.
In Shadow hand, Anne Elisabeth transports you back to the Goldstone Wood for another adventure into the twists and turns of time, with fairies, kings and knights. Shadow hand is the story of Prince Foxbrush and Lady Daylily. Lady Daylily is not thrilled with the betrothal to Prince Foxbrush, when it's his cousin Prince Lionheart that her heart belongs to. So, in that she flees on her wedding day to the dangerous Wildlands. The unlikely hero Prince Foxbrush pursues her in an effort to save the one he loves and his fate takes over leading him to his fate.
As the sixth book in the series, you would think that as a reader coming into the series late you wouldn't be able to follow along, however like the stories before all of the Tales of Goldstone Wood Shadow hand is written where it stands alone as a story. I have only read the predecessor Dragonwitch thus far and I was able to enjoy this story without tapping into that knowledge. For those of you whom have never read the work of Anne Elisabeth Stengl, she writes with an almost song like verse that is a joy to read. The storylines intertwine and by the end of the story everything concludes, but you are definitely left wanting more. I definitely enjoyed the story and hope to read more from the Tales of the Goldstone Wood very shortly.
When it comes to doing my nails, I can handle the basics. I can paint them a solid color with very little flair, so if I want to do anything fun I pretty much have to pay and sometimes that can be a pretty penny. But, I recently got the opportunity to review the Vinyl nail decals from Vinyl disorder and I like them, they add a bit of flair that is literally dummy proof.
They offer them in a ton of different styles, the ones I got were stars and hearts. The stars fit with my purple nail polish, so that is what I featured. Out of all the styles they offer, I think the stars and hearts are their most kiddish, so they would be perfect for the kiddo in your life or to go with a fun nail art day. I think when I order a set I am going to get some of the mustaches they are so cute and fun. At about 2.50 these inexpensive decals could be the highlight of a sleep over or the perfect accent to a fun manicure. I would definitely recommend them.
When it comes to saving you know I am all for it, as a matter of fact I am hugely vocal about it. So when I was given the opportunity to review a new saving site, I thought hey why not right? Just another way to save money on things I need, who couldn't use another one of those. Then I started to think about it... do I need another one of those saving sites? One of the sites that offers items at huge discount on a daily basis, will I even check it or will I know when something I need is going to come up, but I couldn't fight my deal addiction so started to scour.
My immediate impression of Giveandsave.com was that it was easy enough to navigate, the product descriptions were good and the prices were definitely nice. It wasn't until I started to really read that I got the special factor about it. Give and Save is actually a donation site, as well as a deal site. When you are saving you are also giving. Your purchase price actually has a factored in donation up to 50% of the amount you pay going to the charity of your choosing. If you have a cause you support or if you don't you can select one of the local ones that is signed up. Your savings is helping out.
So now your thinking okay, so it helps out but is it hard to use, some of the deal sites are? Actually it is a super easy and simple check out process, with a one page fill out and you can sign up for the daily newsletter to keep up to date on deals. Overall, I have a good impression of Give and Save.
Disclosure: I received the a sample pack of CoverMate Food Covers in order to do a review. Opinions are 100% my own, there was no other compensation and I happily post this review for free!
I don't ever have time, I am a complete procrastinator so when it comes to making a dish for an event I am usually burning the midnight oil. As a matter of fact I was up until midnight last night preparing stuff for the kids Valentine's Day party, you know a labor of love no pun intended.
If I am not burning the midnight oil I am scrambling fifteen minutes before I have to leave to finish mixing or searching for something to take the dish in. The CoverMate Food Covers have become my ultimate tool to wrap up right before I run out the door. So the cynic in me is thinking, why don't you just grab some plastic wrap or foil, honestly before I was given the CoverMate Food Covers to try I would have and it would have worked well enough the first time but when you take it off the first time it's done.
The CoverMate food covers are a cover that you can use on any container they come in all sorts of sizes, and when you move it off to dish something out they can snap back on without risking unwanted exposure. These are ideal for traveling with goodies, be it your famous potato salad or a giant bowl of muddy buddies. I like that I don't have to fuss with lids any more, it is
These are available at Target, Walmart and on Amazon and if you go here you can score a 0.50 off coupon!
With over 140 years of experience soothing sore throats Pine Bros has perfected the softish throat drop. The texture is that of chewable, and yet solid enough you can allow it dissolve in your mouth too. I received the Wild Cherry Flavored throat drops to review and I can honestly say I love them. The texture is perfect, since I am a drop "chewer" rather than someone who waits for it to dissolve. With the softish texture I can chew and not get them stuck in my teeth. It's wonderful, but in all reality nothing compares with the taste.
Pine Bros throat drops might as well be candy for how great the Wild Cherry tastes. That being said the consistency of the softish throat drops is similar to a sort of "gummy vitamin" only the flavor is just so good. When your sick typically everything that makes you feel better pretty much tastes bad. However, that is definitely not the case with the Pine Bros Throat Drops. They almost make you want to get a cold just to be able to use them. Next time you are have a sore throat, head over to your local drugstore and grab a bag to try of your own!

Disclosure: I got this product for free to try, however opinions are 100% my own. I also am not a doctor, I am a mother my medical opinion is not a valid for you to take as advice, other than that of a friend giving you her honest opinion. If you are concerned about your child please contact your pediatrician.
As a mother of young children you can imagine my anguish when both kids are sick and I am scrambling to the drugstore looking for anything to give my little ones relief only to find out they aren't old enough for anything I could find. A million thoughts run through my head all of which aren't very nice about the situation and I leave the store empty handed and twice as frustrated. I'd call my pediatrician asking for any advice and the only advice I would get would be to use a humidifier. Which as many of you can attest, does help, but doesn't help with the pain the kids feel. So then I am forced to give them something for the pain which is within age limits which only soothe the pain temporarily. That was all until I was given Children's Chestal Honey by Boiron to review.

Disclaimer: Hey ladies, before you go all goo-goo for my handsome model above, he's Mr. Science of Couponing, so hands off. Wink, Wink. But, I thought in the spirit of goodwill I'd share a pic of this good looking man rocking the Red Hot Daddy Pajama Pants from Daddy & Co. for you all to enjoy! Happy Valentines day!
As a majority of the Valentine's items are geared toward women, I am always looking for something that will be great to gift my husband. Giving my husband a huge stuffed animal or roses would bother him, it's really not his style so it's not the route I would go. So then I typically go for a more personal gift of some sort of Pajama. Yes, this is a selfish gift and truly its me who gets the biggest benefit of him looking good, but hey I know he likes me looking at him at him with lustful eyes.
The men's pajama section at most stores seasonal gift pajamas are cheezy faux silk which last one akward evening and are destroyed by the washing machine. And although, I may think he looks good I know he literally hates having to wear them. That was until I was given a pair of Red Hot Daddy Pajama Pants for him.
When it comes to my children they really are the moon and stars in my universe. That being said, I couldn't imagine a more unique way to show them how much I love them than by naming a star after them. I was fortunate to be able to do this review and in that I got the chance to dedicate this one to here.
With the purchase of each star you get the opportunity to name it however you would like, and write a personalized message. That star coordinate can then be plugged into google sky/earth and be brought up on a screen for you to show your loved one. For us this was a "two-fer" not only did we get the opportunity to show lily how much we love her, but we also get an opportunity to introduce her to a little bit of astronomy. We opted to do this one for Lily, since she is big enough to get excited, but we will be naming one for Luke as well in the near future. I love the idea of writing their names in the sky.
