So trying to shake things up this holiday season? Want to be a hit at the party? This could be a great tool to get you there. I bartend part time and have for nearly a decade, so I know that having the right shaker can really give some flare to the drink making. Yes, you could always just pour it from one cup to another, but where is the drama? The finesse? This shaker by Mixologist World with it's sleek stainless steel outside and uniquely designed marking on the jigger really do give a great image. Now let's talk the nitty gritty, for those who aren't just looking to impress but want to talk about the functionality. The lid on this shaker holds tightly over the cup so that you won't have sticky booze everywhere and leave the bar in my case smelling like I drank half of it, or in your case the party. The jigger is a great addition giving you a measured pour for the inexperienced bartender or for those trying to prove a point to someone saying we are "under pouring" their drink. This specific shaker comes with a little booklet with some basic drinks as well as two ebooks that pretty much contain most drinks in their current version. If you want something regional you will probably just have to ask your bartender as drink names seem to be semi fluid between bars. Overall, I took this set to work with me and it's doing a great job. No rusting and shaking like a champ, I could also see using this at home for making cocktails or even mocktails if you aren't into the intoxication effect.

We are a Chihuahua house, our little Lulu has made a few appearances here on the blog so many of you know that. However, if you know any one who is in a Dachshund house you know those little weiner dogs are their lives. There is no denying that a weiner dog will make you love it. I found this out through my bosses at the bar. Pat & Harold have two weiner dogs that are their fur babies and love them. So when I got the opportunity to review this scarf I knew exactly who would rock this scarf with all the pride of a parent with an Honor roll sticker on their car. Pat is going to look fabulous wearing the pink version of the Dachshund scarf which I picked for her. If you have a Weiner dog lover in your household or on your shopping list this year make sure to pick one of up for them at about 10$ it's right in line for a great gift or even an after Christmas gift yourself moment!

These delicate and stunning earrings are so well crafted. From the moment you take them out of the package they instantly draw your attention in and sparkle. The Sterling silver is shaped into what is suppose to be a peacock, they are very delicate looking but also look very well made. The curly silver cupping the blue topaz stones on each is beautifully symmetrical and so very pretty. They are lightweight so they won't pull to hard on the ears. I love how beautiful these are and I even more like that they are made at a fair trade price so that the artisan in Bali is making a fair wage for his art. Overall these are a spectacular find and I am happy to share them with my mom this Christmas
Disclosure: I received one of each of the Bauli Panettone & Pandoro mini's for review no other compensation was received.
About 10 years ago I visited Peru for the first time in the winter, March to be exact, so spring here. My boyfriend at the time being a native Peruvian has a doting mother to say the least so when he brought me home she decided she would spoil me. And oh boy did she! She figured out quickly that her special hot chocolate was the best thing I had ever tasted so made it for me every morning and introduced me to Panettone. Never before had I had Panettone as honestly I thought it was a traditional fruitcake. Fruitcake has such a negative conotation that I still to this day haven't tried it, but Panettone is no fruitcake. It's light, fluffy and oh so tasty. I left Peru with two new food loves after my trip Ruth's hot chocolate and Panettone. Sadly, the love with my ex-boyfriend didn't last so the hot chocolate is forever lost to me...... unless Ruth you are reading this and want to send me the recipe. (Not likely, but hey a girl has to try it really is Amazing)
I thought Panettone was lost to me as well, until Christmas time rolled around and miraculously it appeared in my local stores. Never in my life had I even noticed it before, but now it becomes a yearly tradition. My only regret was that I can't get through one of the large ones before it dries out, so when I was offered a mini option my heart literally skipped a beat. I mean seriously it's like a personal sized Panettone perfect for me to consume in one sitting. As a bonus I now know of Pandoro, panettone's wonderful cousin which is very similar but without the candied fruit. If you are looking for a great addition to any stocking or just want a wonderful treat head over to your local grocery store and look for Bauli's Pandoro or Panettone. You won't regret it! Make sure to stock up it's not around all year and it's so very tasty!
Being a blogger I get a ridiculous number of emails asking me to promote this or that, but most of the time I trash them. Today however, I am going to promote something I read. Not because they are sending me one to play with which they aren't yet "Fingers crossed they see this and do" because they are super flipping adorable. But, because they are amazing and I like what they represent.
Kauzbots are these adorable robots that are handmade and each represent a different charity which 10% of their sale proceeds go towards. With charities ranging from Breast Cancer to Homes for Homeless children these adorable robots give back. If you are still looking for a cute gift for a kid or want an adorable companion for your bed, don't look past the Kauzbots they are truly adorable.

Oooh, I do like to eat fried chicken, Yes I do, and honestly I know quite a few people that do too. Disclosure: I received a necklace in exchange for my promotion of the brand and the honest opinion on the jewelry.
Pretty Peacock is a brand that I had never heard of until recently and I have to say the jewelry is exquisite. Each item is handcrafted here in the good ol' USA! Which is really a great thing for our economy, but it's also just an amazing product. Each item is crafted with utmost care and packaged the same. The necklace I received to review is the one pictured above and I have to say although I wouldn't have picked it for myself when it came it made me smile. You really never think about things like how high a kite flies as an analogy for life, but this one fits perfect. I know there are many people in our lives that could use an uplifting gift.
Whether you are looking for last minute Christmas gift or for an early valentine's/mother's day gift there really is a little bit of everything. They are definitely geared toward the women in your life so take a second and see what they offer. I know any mom would be very gushy over receiving pretty much anything Pretty Peacock has to offer. There are people in my life that are nearly impossible to shop for. They have everything that they could want or purchase it immediately when they get an inkling. That being said to "Wow" them with gifts is hard, but I think I found my new go to shop for those unique Wow gifts. Novica.com offers a wide variety of items that are made by artisians around the world and are items you can't just find anywhere else.
Let me tell you specifically about the "Gold Flames" Mirror I selected for my review. Each tile is handmade with sparkling gold enlay between read/brown squares of tile. The circular shape is excellent for a smaller mirror of it's size. I think it will compliment an accent wall with a small shelf or on a dresser very well. The thing that struck me first about it however is the amount of care put into it. From the moment you go to unpack it from the shipping material you know that the artisan really cared. It was wrapped up so securely in the outside packaging then wrapped up again then it was wrapped in paper with a ribbon as a gift. Include was a picture and a note from the Artisan and it really made me feel connected.
I know it may sound cliché, but how often do you get to know exactly who made the item you are purchasing? Especially, when it's coming all the way from India? I loved that feature it made the mirror extra special to me.
As for the craftsmanship, the care that went into the wrapping went into the tiles as well, they have a sturdy feel and I think the only way it will have any issues is if I drop it. And honestly, I am treating it with the same care he obviously did. This mirror was made for me and it's an amazing feeling to know that I am contributing to the betterment of someone's life.

Disclosure: I received this toy in exchange for my honest opinion, no other compensation was received. This post however contains affiliated links.
If you can't tell from the picture above these are the Click n' Play 12 piece pretend cutting vegetables with pretend knife and cutting board. And they are utterly adorable. They have a little cut area in each of them in order to give your child the illusion of actually cutting a plastic vegetable. They are a perfect addition to any play kitchen and could very well be one of your child's favorite toys. I love the individual detail in each of them that makes it obvious which vegetable is which and how to properly cut each of them. The cutting board is small so if you have a smaller play kitchen it should happily fit on any of the flat surfaces available to your child. I like that they easily velcro back together for next time. The size is good as well with each of the produce items being about the size of a small baseball or smaller, so they will fit comfortably in your child's hands. At 10 bucks right now these are a great value with 9 vegetables, a knife and a cutting board. For similar products you will be paying at least double for a set this size.
I looked over several other options and I am not sure how much you really gain by purchasing the more expensive option, actually if anything with a child of the age demographic for this toy the more veggies you can include the better so for your money this is definitely a great option.
