With the kids out of town, I got the chance to go out to lunch with my sisters today so we headed to Big Dawgz Burgers and I have to say YUM! I ordered the Mushroom burger and it was so good, I ate the entire thing and didn't even have room to touch my fries. Typically I am a carb first kind of person, but after one bite of this burger I was sold and couldn't stop eating until I hit fingers. The burger consists of 1/3rd pound Certified Angus Beef patty, slathered with sauteed mushrooms, melted swiss cheese, two strips of bacon and house sauce. Although, the house sauce is a trade secret I can tell you it's a whole lot of yummy and compliments the meat and mushrooms perfectly. Each time I try something new at Big Dawgz it becomes my new favorite, and right now the Mushroom burger is leading the way!
At about 10.00 for a burger, fries and a drink, I thought it was a little steep until I tried the burger. You get what you pay for with them, the high quality ingredients are worth the extra couple of bucks over a fast food combo meal. It was also made to order so I know that care and attention was taken to make sure my burger hot and was made the way I requested it. It is really a have it your way kind of place. The customer service was also very accomidating, all you have to do is ask, and they work to quickly accomidate your request without any hesistation. My niece was with us and they made sure that she had only 1 chicken strip rather than ordering a whole meal for her as she isn't a big eatter, where can you get that?
In a previous trip, I tried the BBQ burger which consists of the a Certified Angus Beef patty, onion rings, bacon, cheddar cheese and barbeque sauce on the same buttery bun as all of their burgers. Upon first bite , I was in love with the meaty saucy goodness. I am a big fan of hearty flavorful burgers this burger definitely fits this bill. At the time I thought this was my favorite burger on their menu, well that didn't last any longer than the next time I ate there. Hence the wonderful praise of the Mushroom burger. The only other menu item I have tried thus far is the Bacon wrapped dog, and although I wouldn't call it a hot dog as it's a quarter pound I have to say double yum.
As always this is my opinion and yours may vary, but if you decide to give them a chance enjoy!
They also now have some coupons available in the Clipper Magazine! Check it out!
