Lay Me Down by Erin Kellison
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Disclosure: I got this book as an ARC from Netgalley, that however doesn't change the fact I was dying to read it after reading the first one and literally jumped on the chance to review it in order to get to see it early.
Maisie Lane thought she had everything figured out she was well on her way to her dream on her own terms. Until, the shady people she was working with went after her sister. Now Maisie is hesitantly cooperating with Steve Coll from Chimera, the police of dreams. In a world where dreams can be controlled and where Maisie extraordinary. Only the gift of being extraordinary in the dream turns into a curse of sorts in this epic battle for both her life and her heart.
This is the second book of this series, Reveler and it equally lives up to the first. The dynamic of the two main characters Steve and Maisie is realistic and yet fantasy enough to give you the epic sort of romance. The overall storyline is unique with the idea of beyond lucid dreaming to literally living in a dream is among one of the best I have read recently. The book is a quick read, but suspense packed enough to keep you reading until the end. I literally put this book down to sleep and that was only due to blurred vision. I would definitely lose sleep to continue. I really enjoyed the transition and incorporation between book 1 and 2 that although included the characters from 1 took the time to expand the secondary characters into their own story.
