Initially I was not sure what to use these for as they these tiny little LED lights on a string that come in 4 colors and are attached to a battery box. They come in pink, blue, green and red. My favorite of the bunch was the pink, but my kids like the green ones better. The options are just so open, that it makes it significantly harder to deal with for those of us that are moderately creatively deficient. So, I did what any parent would do and asked my six year old what do you want me to do with these lights. She still a card carrying imagination professional instructed me to put them on her wall and make her butterfly glow. I thought well that is quite unique sure why not. So that is literally what I did. Above you can see the green light strand illuminating her butterfly wings that are on her wall. The others are currently being saved for Christmas season as they can illuminate the car and other things that a plug isn't available.
My only personal gripe about the lights is the need for 6 AA batteries in the battery pack, that being said we have also discovered that you can get away with only putting in 3 as long as they are very charged. Not quite sure why it does work but I am assuming that the circuit is closed with or without all 6 batteries. Either way we did find it doesn't last as long, but if you only have 3 and you have a need to light up you can do it. I bet a more creative person could find a hundred uses for these great little lights, overall I'd recommend them for any lighting purpose, and once you switch over you won't be able to use an old nightlight as it will be "too bright".
Also, there is a 6 hour timer on the lights and an always on function, which is great because then I don't have to come in and turn them off in the middle of the night.
