Disclosure: I received the Magnetic Screen Door for free from IGotTech in order to give my honest opinion no other compensation was received.

Honestly, I have been having an unhealthy fascination with these magnetic screen doors concepts for a few years now. I just never could bring myself to purchase one, so when I got the opportunity to review one I was as giddy as a schoolgirl. Okay so don't judge me I get excited over labels as well and all sorts of randomness that seems to really tickle me, or judge me I don't care it's an awesome concept. For our house specifically we have screen door issues on our sliding glass door. That being said, I don't think this Magnetic Screen door is designed for a door that slides open, however it doesn't mean that it doesn't work. It took a little bit of time figuring out how to place it perfectly, but it works. If they were going to design it for a slider I suspect they wouldn't do the split down the middle perhaps on one side? I don't know something slightly different.

Since I am reviewing the product for its functionality when used correctly not when I am making it work for my own odd usage I will go with how it works for the true type of door. For a traditional door this is the easiest installation you can think of. If you can operate scissors and stickers you are set! My four year old could have installed this screen if I trusted her on a ladder or scissors. Three sides are attached to the door frame using velcro that is attached to one side of the door and the other to the actual door. Super easy, but suprisingly strong.

As for the ability to shut itself when you go through it I would say it works very well and shuts pretty much every time. It only doesn't shut when it gets folded onto itself on the bottom. Overall great product that does what is advertised.

If your interested in picking one up for your door head over to Amazon.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
