The kids are I were fortunate enough to have the chance to go to opening night of Disney on Ice presents Dare to Dream at the Sleep Train Arena. From the moment we walked in everything was so very Disney! From the Disney character shaped snow cones to the light up wands. The bright lights and overall décor bombarded the senses and excited even the littlest guy in our group. Lily and Luke are veterans now at Disney on Ice events having attended several in their short time on this planet, but for my nephew Roman whom is 1.5 years old this was his first event of it's kind. Typically, I am hesitant to bring a little one thinking that they will distract or be distracted and ruin the experience, however from past experiences I know a Disney On Ice event is perfect for all ages even down to the easily distracted toddlers. The bright lights and sounds cater to attracting attention of the little ones and the timing of the intermission is flawless. Overall, it has been my personal experience that Disney On Ice, unlike many other events is one that no matter what your age or Disney experience you have.
Now that I have bored you with all my opinions on the Disney On Ice shows as a whole let me tell you about the exciting spectacle which is Dare To Dream!! Dare to Dream is unique in the world of Disney On Ice performances in that it highlights the Princesses, but a majority of the show is a condensed retelling of Tangled. For my kids age range 4-6 Tangled is definitely right up there at the top of their all time favorite movies. Rapunzel is a character which they know so well and they know all the songs to sing along. It also is an extremely dynamic show with Rapunzel flying around the Ice on her own hair. It truly is a multi dimensional show with every seat in the house providing a great view of the show. I love that even if you aren't able to buy the highest priced seats you can still take the kids and see the show well.
Our little guy Roman, however only had eyes for Mickey and Minnie. Luckily, for us every Disney on Ice show includes them in one capacity or another so for the Disney Jr. audience there is nothing more exciting than to see Mickey in real life!
